Day 24 & Agility!

At 24 days old, I decided to introduce some freshly made agility equipment to Storm Cloud and Firecracker.  Both took to it pretty well! Considering I have not done any training with them aside from handling, this was a pretty good intro!

These babies are so relaxed in the company of us humans, that they decided to invite us into a snooze pile. Unfortunately, we couldn't fit into their litte carry container. So after a night full of rambunctious play on the couch, they let me snap some adorable sleepy photos. Enjoy!

Welcome to TRT's new blog hosted by angelfire! I have decided to switch all my news updates to a single website to make things less complicated for myself as well as those wishing to stay up to date on the progress of this species as a pet!

 

In this first entry, I would like to repeat my last blog entry on Day20 for the Summer Tails '09 Litter:

Today the babies were given a miniature "playground" in which they were introduced to a tunnel (paper towel roll,) and a 5" mouse wheel!  They loved it! They walked in the wheel without much hesitation, and ran right through the tube. The babies walk right into my palms with no problems, nibbles, or protests. They don't even care when I pick them up (unlike their grandparents, who's permission you must have before handling them.) I really hope this stays with them throughout their lives. 

Blu Skye is still doing well and I almost want to say that she's the dominate baby of the bunch!  I'm still keeping a close eye on her, though.  Each baby has found themselves content in sitting on my lap, hanging out on my shoulder, and getting petted on the head, back, butt, and tolerates a belly rub!

So far, I'd like to say this litter is a success.
